FF3 -- Wilcom Optical Fault Locator Kits Wilcom's FF-3 Kit is designed to give the optical technician the tools required for accurate fault isolation in singlemode and multimode fiber systems. The three units included in the FF3 optical fault location kit will enable the technician to narrow down problem areas in fiber cabling by systematically testing the fiber to the fault. The FR2 uses OTDR technology to detect and display up to seven events (faults) with the exact distance in feet/meters to the event. In the FF3 kit, there is a choice of using the F6121A optical fiber identifier for non-intrusive testing of the fiber, or the F6230A visual fault locator for pinpoint accuracy in fault location. The FF4 Kits do not include the F6121A optical fiber identifier.

FR-2 -- Wilcom Handheld Optical Fault Locators The FR2 Optical Fault Locator from Wilcom is a handheld fault locator uses a 1310nm wavelength that is ideal for both multimode and singlemode applications. Using OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) technology, the FR2 can pinpoint up to 7 faults in an optical cable with amazing accuracy. The FR2 is an excellent tool for locating faulty connectors, end-of-fiber or breaks in a fiber cable.
