SFK-6-250-M -- Corning Spider Fan-out Kits The SFK Spider fan-out kit from Corning is a low-cost termination option for multi-fiber cables. These fan-out kits terminate and provide 3mm pull-out protection for bare fibers (900um and 250um). Easy to install, simply slide each bare fiber through the inserts consisting of a 1-meter length of fan-out tubing secured in a composite assembly. The fan-out insert then snaps into the main spider body. When all the inserts have been loaded, the outer housing is installed to complete the assembly. Kits are available in 6, 12 and 24 fiber strands for multimode or singlemode cable. |
